I know I’m not alone when I say that this man inspired me and countless others to be a visual storyteller. I had the good fortune to hear him speak, meet him and shake his hand twice – the first time about 15 years ago at a Discovery Channel “retreat” and just last year at the Annapolis film festival. Both times he provided the audience with thoughtful insight and anecdotal stories of his filmmaking career. Just wonderful to hear.
